Anyone have first hand experience with Icare's Wilga-35 ARF as a tow plane?

I've heard good things about it. Mike was going to get one.....

Don't you have a framed up Pegasus ?

My Pegasus kit is still resting safely in the box John D. shipped it in. Was hoping I could get a big tug in the air in less time by completing an ARF. Surprised there's been absolutely no feedback regarding the Icare Wilga.

The fibreglass fuse on that one is rather flimsy and the wings are built-up...I've only seen the kit, but I wasn't super impressed. I'm sure it flies well, but I wouldnt' buy one.

A $999 ARF!? Wow. I'm looking for a tug in this size range but had no idea that the prices were so huge.

I'd love to see your build (put together) thread on this.

Given Soarneck's comments, that build thread won't be coming from me! Looks like the Pegasus will be my winter project.

PS Now if you want a really pricey but spectular Wilga ARF, visit EMM and check out John Derstine's Fritsch Wilga completed and detailed by Let. Doesn't get any better than this. And what a fabulous tug!
