Just converted a WM Super Sports 40s(red) to electric.

My 1st WM plane. Gotta give two thumbs up on the quality of the kit :)

This aircraft will be a test bed for my twin KI-45 electric project, so the setup on the SS40 is temp.

Right now I have on her:

Motor: AXI 2826/10
Battery: TP 4S2P 4000mah Li-Po
ESC: The new Castle Creations 45HV
Prop: 10x7 APC
Servos: Hitec HS-225BB
RX: Futaba

The weight of the plane came out to 5 lbs 10oz.
This was due to added nose weight of almost 8 oz to balance her out.

Tomorrow will be its maiden, unless "Katrina" changes things.

I'll post pics, and a video.

Herm !, Are you ready !

Gotta say this was one of the quickest glow to electric conversions I did.
Sam ;)

Good luck.

I hope that it flys well. I am planning on converting a Super Sports 30. The power plant I plan to use is a 2826/12 with TP 3s2p 4200 pack.

Good luck with the maiden.

the video came out good, towards the end I had the shakes..that last outside loop came very very close to hitting the gound.. looks like just inches. See you tuesday and have a safe trip.

Try an 11x8 prop if you have clearance!
