First Boat

I'm looking for a fast and durable Electric RTR craft, is the Traxxas
Villain EX a good choice or should I get something else? I have a Traxxas
Electric Rustler and like it so thought Id get a Traxxas boat too. Just
wanted to hear some opinions from people out there.

it looks like no experianced guys are putting in their 2 cents worth so i guess i'll try. i am also more of a rookie in rc boats but im not new to rc. i have flown planes for a while and some other stuff. i have been looking very hard for the past few months for the perfect begginer boat and so far the best one i believe from my findings is the aquacraft hammer EP. it is cheap, rtr, has esc, good speed and good handling. overall i would get this one if i could scrape up the money. that said, my personal favorite would have to be the new traxxas villain 7.2. i have mostly read good things about it and it is fast and dual motored but still only requires one battery.from what i have seen it really all depends on where you will be running it and what you want. if there is going to be waves and chop I have heard that the hammer and villain are great in rough water, but for speed, go to offshoreelectrics.com and grab a cen aquajet extreme.
