I have tried with a Futaba set and failed, I believe the Esky its a PCM set
up which will only work with the Esky tx

Yes that's the one but not the 2005 version, what do you mean by just
changing the receiver as it part of the 4 in 1 or do you mean the crystal in
the receiver ? thanks Rob

My understanding is you cannot use a JR/Futaba/etc transmitter with
the receivers that come with the Esky/Dragonfly/etc.

The receivers that come with the helis usually have speed controller,
and sopmetimes gyro, built in.

To use your JR, you need to replace the receiver in the heli with a
compatable receiver, add a speed controller and a gyro (if the heli
does not already have separate ones)

I am told the Futaba radio is in fact compatible with the Blade four in
one unit.

You need a transmitter that has the CCPM available too.

Check on http://runryder.com under the Blade forum for more info,
actually more than you can imagine,,,,,,,,,,,

That wouldn't be the issue.

This would be true IF the receiver was a PCM system not PPM. If it's PPM,
then the JR (or just about any other) Tx which has CCPM capabilites will do
the job.
