RFG2 Interlink mechanical problem

The right stick on my interlink controller has developed a mechanical problem when moving the elevator up/down. It seems to be binding with something and is difficult to control the aircraft.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is there a common issue with an easy fix?

I see the pins and they do stick out, but they seem to be in place. In the very center of the gimbal, the elevator portion touches the aileron portion when the elevator stick is moved past about 1/2 way from center in either direction. It binds and then pulls the assembly through the rest of the travel. It almost looks as if the aileron portion (outmost part ni the pictures) is too low, allowing them to touch. Or the elevator part could be too high. I'll try and get some pictures this weekend. Worked great for so long and then this.
