Mid size heli ownersip cost: electrics vs.glow

Some posts below I've been asking about mid size electrics helis.
Now the point is the cost.
Are the electrics helis maintenance (like Logo 14,16,24) so expensive
compared to glow(Raptor etc..) ?

Electric helis have much more cost "up front" because of the cost of
batteries vs fuel. Depends on what you mean by "maintenance" - electric
helis are generally built to a lighter weight so may not be as strong -
so crashes tend to cause more damage and bits wear out more quickly.
However with modern helis such as the Logo range, this is debatable.

Parts of popular glow helis will be cheaper than their less common
electric counterparts. My experience with electric helis is that they
are more expensive on your time rather than your wallet.
