Here are some pics of my latest insanity. I bought the Ikarus small SU-27, and once I put the Fiego in it, I loved it. So I have this RFFS-100 system in a 16" Prarie Bird, which works but is booooring. So I bought some depron and printed out 3-views of the Blackbird at 1/82 scale. Here's the result. I don't know if it will work. It had a good glide without the radio. I think the all up weight is about .8 ounces, (my scale is not accurate down there.) Its alot lighter than the prarie bird, so it should fly. The big question is will it torque roll terribly with a three inch prop in an eight inch span. Here's pics, and also pic of the heatsink I made for the Fiego.

I took the SR-71 out this morning. I tossed it a few times to get it trimmed in pitch. I found it needed almost no reflex, maybe 1/16". Then I tossed it and gave it full throttle, and it did not torque roll like I expected. It had just enough thrust to maintain about 5 feet of altitude. It is very stable, and has very little roll authority. I used an old 170 mA LiPo battery that I think was tired, so I'll replace it with another new one I have and give it a try. It looks like it might not have enough control to be fun, but I'll keep trying.

 Get some video of that (if your camera can find it!).
