Bought this many many years ago before I really got into model aircraft. It's a great little racing boat.

Here're Kyosho's specs for it:

Here's a full review of it:

Unfortunately my one isn't looking brand-spanking new any more, and it could probably do with a new motor and some general cleaning up/TLC ... a new paint job would be nice as its current 'default' one was applied by yours truly before I was even a teenager ... hence it's ... well, not terrific!

I'm supplying it with a 2 channel 27MHz Futaba Attack TD2R transmitter, 2ch 27MHz Rx, the standard-size servo for steering, an electronic proportional speed controller (which features a reverse function), the motor and a spare prop. All you need to provide is a 6-cell Sub-C NiCd battery pack (around 2Ah) and 8 AA cells for the Tx.

The original cost of the boat itself was £71 and add to that the radio system (about £40) and speed controller (around £20), I probably didn't see much change from £130. I'm prepared to sell it all for £70 o.n.o. - quite a deal IMO!

I'd prefer it if the buyer was in the UK (just to keep shipping costs down), but if there's someone really interested elsewhere in the world, I'd be happy to ship it internationally (but naturally the shipping cost would be higher).

The only physical damage to the boat is inside the radio compartment where I had to cut a hole to rescue a lost drill bit from inside the hull! The hull itself is 100% intact and waterproof. Inside the body I have fitted a few modifications to hold the battery pack in place, and you will also notice two small eyelets screwed into the plastic on either side of the motor - I used these to hold a bag of ice over the motor to try and keep it cool - it gets devilishly hot!

I've managed to dig up a video of me driving the boat around our local pond from 2001. Windows Media Player should show it fine if you've got the DivX (www.divx.com) codec installed. Quicktime Player or VLC (www.videolan.org/vlc) can be used on a Mac to view it.
