Where did you order it from?
If it came from Europe, it may be operating on 40 mhz which is the UK/German ground frequency or something similar.

which Futaba ? F-14, FC-14, FC -16
check the PPM / PCM settings of TX / RX
if the RX is dual conversion, needs matching X-Tal s

Ahoy Melih;
none. Robbe 8 ch Terra-Top/FM Module Controller. on the back there is a RF. Module for Transmitter CH 89 75.970. Made by futaba multi modul system.
i have tryed both DC and SC FN crystals and none work.
dont know what PPM/PCM is.
it came with an 8 CH receiver and both TX & RX ch 89 that works fine.

dont know what PPM/PCM is.
PPM - Pulse Position Modulation (standard FM)
PCM - Pulse Code Modulation (enhanced FM)
PPM/PCM is how the control signal information (signal), tells the servos what to do. In PPM the length (frequency) of the radio pulse is varied (longer or shorter) to control the servo. PCM is still FM, but the control information is sent in the form of a digital dta pulse.

on the back there is a RF. Module for Transmitter CH 89 75.970. Made by futaba multi modul system. If you want to change frequencies, you need to buy the RF Module (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEJS4**&P=0) on the frequency you want. If the radio has an RF module, you don't swap crystals, you swap the RF module.

Ahoy Bob.
thanks. talked to David and he came up with the same. here is a pic of mine.
all so, my manual says that the modual as well as the radio has to be charged. since you have the mod. you must know some thing about it. will the new add ons work with this radio?? the twin stick Navy sys. and the exspadlebul mods. for more chanels?

I don't own a Robbe F-14 radio system, but have checked a few sites (Ships & Things, Harbor Models, Robbe, etc) to learn about it. The F-14 has 2 types of modules, one is required, the others are options.

The RF Module is REQUIRED for use as it determines the frequency the radio operates on. The RF Module must be plugged into the radio, and gets power from the radio batteries. The RF Module can be changed by the radio owner to any frequency that is legal in their home country. Technicaly it is against the law in the USA to change transmitter crystals, unless you are a factory authorized tech; the RF module gets around that law.

The OPTIONAL modules are described as channel expanders, and some of them are standard equipment on other radios - dual rates, servo mixing (USS ALBACORE X-tail), trainer cord (teacher-student module). The various Robbe expansion modules convert 1 channel on the radio into multiple channels. These add-ons appear to be installed by the radio owner.

I think you need to post a PDF file of the entire manual.
I am not sure how an image of the cover will help. :p

Ahoy Bob;
since horbor models is now the sole distributor in the US i have asked if the modules they have F1564 ETC. will fit my radio. its not any # they show. when they answer i'll post. the modules they show on there sight are to exspand the chanels. i hope they have the RFtransmitter modules.

David, read better, the TX mod does not have to be charged like i said, its the way to charge the TX (radio) with out going in the back. it looks like i'll need a new battery too. woun't charge full.

i'll look in to posting the manual.

I think it has to do with the PCM thing. When I got my 8 CH. Futaba, the module looked the same. I had to re-set the radio to iron out that PCM, P(whatever) thing. After that, it worked fine. No module change at all.

Dont ask for further help, as I really dont know what I'm saying. I just looked in the manual, and winged it.Now if I could only get the Bow Thruster to work.........
