Spare antena wire

Hi. I have just modified my rc surfer and the new rx i have put in has got a very long antena. I know i cant cut it and i need to havbe the antena so that i dont loose any range. Can you guys help me?

run it around the inside of the deck's underside, and possibly, up the surfer body

Would it matter if say 1 inch was sticking out the top? Or will it stuff up? Also can i rap the very end peace of wire sticking out the top in tape?

having the antenna out of the boat is not a problem, best is to drill the back of the figure, and have it comming down there, and running down the shirt of the surfer figure, that way it can be cleverly hidden with waterproof tape, incl the hole, and painted over, rather than having a rod out of his ot her head
