Dumas US Coast Guard 44' LifeBoat

I have a Dumas US Coast Guard 44' Lifeboat that I started many years ago. It
calls for 2 2004 or 2005 Dumas Eletctric Motors. Has Dumas updated these
motors to the newest technology? Should I look at different motors/speed
control? How about batteries? I am looking for long run times and want it to
move a little quick (not a race boat but not a snail). I already have the
2335 Running Hardware Kit.

My first boat was the Dumas 44' with the fiberglass hull. Go with the
stock motors. I bought mine from a guy who included the stock motors.
They are turning 2" brass 3-bladed props and the boat will almost "get
up on the step". And have the 10 cell, sub C, packs last over over 2
hours.

I've built several scale boats since then with lots of different
motor/prop combinations and the Dumas 44' is still my favorite. As an

Thanks for the reply. Is the 10 cell, sub C pack the Dumas 10-Cell 12V 2.5
A Sealed Lead Battery(2032)?
