I have an 8.5 ft long cat' and I wish to gain the ability to uphaul and
downhaul a spinnaker from a tube below the centre section.
Obviously a standard sail winch is not capable of achieving this.
My question is therefore, is there a way of cannibalising a winch in such a
way as to allow a 1.5 meter (about) cord run?
