Could a standard weed eater be converted to a boat drive system by removing the line head and making a prop adapter?

Yes if the spark plug is up the top of the motor and the pull starter is towards the front of the boat with the clutch and the shaft facing the back of the boat. The clutch is not necessary but preferred for easier launching. good luck.

U Can use the square drive collet and cable from the weed eater so no need to make a prop adapter unless of course ur looking to build an air boat.
thats what I use for my flex cables I just go to the local small engine place buy one 1/4inch weedeater cable squared at both ends that way I get two for the price of one.
