There is an ongoing thread in the Kokam/FMA forum above about servo jitters with the FMA M5 and Hitec HS-55 combination. In this post: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3957191&postcount=6, Greg Covey, the FMA Director of Sales, states an opinion that the Hitec HS-55 has been recently redesigned. Further, Greg states that FMA has an upgrade to the M5 in progress to address the problem of overly sensitive servos.

I have two planes with the M5 / HS-55 combination and have had no problem other than occasional servo growl around center under no-load conditions. All of this equipment was purchased between 8 – 10 months ago. How recently has the HS-55 been redesigned? How would you recognize the latest version of the servo?

Thanks,

Jack Stephens

The HS-55 has had no design changes.

Mike.

Mike,

Thanks for the information.

In view of that, the only item of interest in the thread that I referenced is that FMA is redesigning the M5 to work better with the HS-55.
