Hi

I've been practicing flying with the Trainer 40 in Reflex XTR, but as I will be buying a real model with a .53 IC engine, I'd like to simulate this in Reflex XTR.

What value do I need to change in order to simulate a .53 engine and what is the rule when it comes to changing the value - i.e. how do I calculate what value to type in for the engine size/type I want?

Thanks in advance for any help.

To make it simple:

Press F11 and in the "Physical parameters" window click on the "Drive" tab.

The power ratio might be .53/.40=1.325, so multiply "Thrust/weight relation" and "Prop moment at maximum throttle" by this factor. Click Ok.

Select menu entry "Model" -> "Save model ...", go to the "KYOSHO" subfolder, enter a name for the modified model (with .par extension) and save.

I wonder if you'll notice any difference.

Thank you very much for your answer.

True, I may not notice much of a difference, but I'd like the simulation to be as accurate as possible.

Cheers and happy flying/model building,
