How do I install other aircraft files into reflex xtr?

I downloaded several aircraft but nowhere can I read directions about installation...even in German!

Thanks, I am usually a Mac user but need to feed my son some pc 3d!

Hi Dan,
You can download airplanes from our web site at http://w3.wehner.cc which are in an .exe format and will install themselves when you run them. All the other downloads out there you have to manually place them in the correct folders. In your Reflex program folder you will notice a "Flugzeug" folder. Thats the airplane folder. When you download aircraft from say , Rc-sim , the author of that plane should include a .Par file, a .Mod file and sometimes (2) .wav files (engine sound). Those files need to be all be put in a folder named whatever plane it is..for example " Tensor 4d". then place that folder under the " Flugzeug" folder. That should be all. when you run Reflex and select that aircraft it may say it cannot find that aircraft or sounds, use the model appearance tab to find that model in your collection and then the engine sound tab to find an appropriate motor for that model. The models at W3 you wont have to do any of that with but not everyone has figured out how to make it easy for the end user as we have yet. Enjoy!

Thanks Chris!

I love your site and downloaded a few birds before I posted the question here today.

I see the W3 folder in selection group in the model menu but there is nothing to select...the promts seemed to install alright. Hum?

Hey Dan, Glad you like the site . The problem your having I have have seen a few times and was fixed by updating the reflex software. Go to http://www.reflex-sim.de/ click on the english link site, then on the left column select updates then look for the 5.01 update . you can download it for free from their site after you create an account. That has solved the problem both times I heard of it. Good luck and let me know what ya think after you actually get to fly our planes:)

Chris, any chance you guys will be doing a model for the Morris Hobbies' spinsation? It would be a great addition to your site's collection.
