Andy and Don,

Welcome to R/C Groups. Rum Runner Racing is an excellent website. I visit it often.

I've asked Jim McPherson to delete his thread on your forums and I've instructed all of our moderators to ask permission before advertising our forums on other sites.

Our policy is to allow advertisements. Many competing sites post links on our forums. You are more than welcome to use R/C Groups to promote your website.

Regards,

Yes, welcome Andy and Don! I'll be sure to check out your site and I hope you will contribute to R/C Groups as well. Perhaps a 'win-win' situation for both sites don't you think?

Hi Steve,

I think my post counter has a wee bit of an answer there. Not even 10% of yours, but then I've only been here (actually in ezonemag.com) for a few months.

It's always nice to be welcome, though.

Sorry but for now, my Top forum contenders still are :
- Ezone for E-Airplanes
- RumRunnerracing for FE-Boats
- Airage for E-Cars

So their position among http://rcsaga.com links ...

I know tons of forums dedicated to these 3 segments but truely these are focal points ...
By the amount of posts, quality of many posters and the sharing feel who makes all happen (encourage to new projects !)...
That's motivation, guys !

Note RRR is the most special place due to the unbeatable amount of help you could receive from skilled guys and the respect which marks every post and answer. Compare with typical Car forums to understand what I mean ...

Moreover, Boat modelism still remains the most pleasant ambiance maker of the 3 segments ... And probably Car the poorest due to its minimal way of thinking (faster than others) and its typical consumer thinking ($=Speed). Mainly disapointing even if most of guys just enjoy to play together (without any honors wishes) ...

Finally I think RRR is the sole forum where such an elite still welcome newcomers and provide human reasons to compete and share !

Not to start mud slinging or anything, but...

It's nice to have another forum to use for sharing and retrieving FE help. RRR is a great resource..

BUT NOT THE CENTER OF THE FE WORLD!

Too bad that this is an old posting. It sounds like we have some self-centered people in here pushing their forum and business site in here. Lately their business is going down the tubes quickly, not shipping orders, not answering e-mails or phone calls but more than happy to pocket your money. How about it boys? Got the balls to reply?
I just did a search in here and have found PAGES of complaints on your business affiars.

The problem is we mere hobbyists look on these sites as a hobby and forget that they're someone else's means of living.
All I can say is that I enjoy reading them all, be they blue, red or some other colour. I just wonder sometimes if the fast electric boat world is big enough to support factions that seem to want to ignore each other.

They have been putting on a good front the past few years by sponsoring races, fielding race teams, offering trophies for speed records, etc. all the while not being able to deliver to their customers in a timely fashion if at all. I don't think that you or I would want to wait 6 months or more for a kit delivery or just a few parts that most others have on hand.
They are in the process of shutting down the business but still with a lot of outstanding orders. In some cases, other more reliable sources have taken over production of kits that they used to handle but still there are the customers that haven't gotten satisfaction; e-mails and phone calls not returned.
If I were a Moderator or Administrator of this site I would be deeply offended by their crass remarks in here.
I am a Moderator on the World's largest R/C forum site yet I do not promote it here, it simply just isn't right! I come in here to learn and help wherever I can, that is it.

Ron, I've had nothing to do with them business wise, I just enjoy reading their bulletin board, well most of the time. It got a bit stupid seeing answers posted there by a proxy, the original having been posted "elsewhere".
But as a source of information on all aspects of fast electrics, it is/was very good; probably the best, with really only the international scene being a bit poorly covered.
