Sorry to ask basic question but I read of people using 30% nitro fuel in
there heli's. I'm having trouble getting my heli to run properly I have
invested in some headloaders and tied the heli down and set the engine up
and it appeared to run ok through the rev range I had to compromise top end
power to get a good mid range reaction on the throttle, but when I put the
blades back on at lift of the engine started to choke to rich, I turned the
main needle 1/2 turn in and it seemed fine I ran two tanks of fuel through
hovering and thought I had cracked it, but then next time out its back to
running weak at hover i.e. no smoke not revving properly I opened the needle
1/2 a turn and its away again properly, I cant work out whats going on. My
question is am I using the right fuel etc, the model is a Kyosho Concept 60
with an OS 61 engine, new OS no8 plug, and using coolpower 10% nitro new
fuel any advise but be help full thank you

I would change to a #3 plug for a start,much more reliable in a heli,but
thats just my opinion.

I would like to know that as well. Everything I ever see about the subject
says "experiment and find out what works for you"
After reading your post about the fuel I think that maybe your issue is that
you are using only 10% nitro in your tank. Try 15% or maybe even 20%. Ask a
pro first about it though.

Well I only know what Ive been told since I started which isnt that long
ago,but a 3 plug is hotter than an 8. I run 16% nitro as 10% is a bit low
for a heli, they need to fire more reliably than a plane so Im told.
Hope that helps
