I just picked up the current Model Airplane News today and was very impressed with the Hangar 9 46% Ultimate electric conversion. Four Hacker C50 motors geared to a single shaft and over 8,000 watts of power!
This issue is worth picking up for this article alone.

ya, but that is very very expensive for just one flight per hour. I heard Mark Lesberg has this set up and can't go full throttle. If he does, he will blow the batteries.

I agree, but just a few years ago, such a conversion would have been impossible. The next 5 years are going to be very interesting as we see ideas go from impossible to expensive to practical to commonplace.

Hopefully the lipo trend keeps going. Maybe we'll see some real high discharge cells pour into the market with the prices still dropping.
I'm not sure but I think there are motors large enough to power that size plane alone. It won't be cheap but then again four Hackers and esc's aren't either.

Any conversion got a whole lot cheaper. Check out Hobby Lobby's big Axi sale.

Cool, more projects. I wanted to get a 5320/28 just because it was so cheap but I won't be getting anything that big.

If you have to ask, you probably can't afford it. ;)
I'd be surprised if it was less than $10k, all up.
