The canopy of my Alfa p-47 keeps popping off. Its not just the plastic bubble, its the entire top. I've made some modifications but it keeps coming off, even in level flight. Anyone have any suggestions?
Also, how do I do better barrel rolls? I lose a lot of altitude when I do them. Is it a weight issue?
Thanks,
Matt

To correctly do a barrel roll, you start with a nose up attitude the top of the barrel should be no higher than the bottom of your barrel, coming out at the same altitude that you entered. Your plane developes more lift when upright, so a descent amount of down elevator may need to be applied when at the bottom or your roll,in the inverted position. You just can't crank over on the ailerons and expect a good roll. You have to feed in the right amount of elevator (and rudder if you have it) at the right time. Practice makes perfect!

in regard to the canopy/hatch coming off in flight - I replaced the stock set-up with magnets - rear only, holds well.

Magnets... I didn't think of them. I'm going to try that
