Flying on Wednesday Nights

My schedule this summer has Wednesday nights open, so I plan on being at the 175th street field between 4:30 and 5:00 weekly, (weather permitting), with a winch set up. I'm not practicing for anything, I just need the flying time.

Weather looks good for this Wednesday; 85 degrees with a 6 mph wind out of the Southeast. Last weeks 98 degrees with a heat index of 110 and 16 mph winds was too much for me.

Had to work late tonight, but Im in for next Wednesday.

Weather for Wednesday night, (the 27th), looks good. High of 79 degrees and winds from the North about 6 mph. Two weeks ago there were thermals releasing at the North side tree line. 1st flight was close to 45 min in a RES. I only came down because my transmitter battery was low.

Hope to be there this time. Going to fly some two-meter. dont want to be caught short when the Omaha guys show up.

Looks like the weather will be perfect, but after this rain the field may be too soft to drive on. You guys have more experiance with this field than I do. What do you think?

We (SWIFT guys) had a great weekend here! Lots of lift and allot of fun but we got COOKED! IT was HOT and Muggy.....we are ready for Higginsville - not sure what that means but we are ready :D

It's supposed to be hot this Wednesday, (The 31st), but the shades of night are falling faster every day. So I am going to be there with a winch about 5:00
