Any R/C boat clubs in Vancouver, BC?

Hello Everybody!
I am both new to this forum, and new to R/C boats.
I have just bought a brand-new RTR tugboat from ebay, fortunately, it arrived on Friday - unfortunately, it was severly damaged in the shipping process and has a 5 in. hole in the hull with the deck cracked! :( :mad:
So, I packaged it back up & am waiting for a replacement - not to come for another week!

Anyways I wanted to ask you guys if you know of any R/C boat clubs or gatherings in Vancouver, BC or the lower mainland.

Any help would be much appreciated & I hope you guys do not mind answering my questions in the future! ( And boy, do I have a lot!) ;)

not sure about Vancouver but over here on the Island there is the Victoria Model Shipbuilding Society.

There are sailings every Sunday am at Henderson Boat Pond on Dallas Raod.

Call or drop into Burnaby Hobbies on Rumble St - Club meets at the Pond on Sundays, I think, off Imperial and Boundary.
Pond in Vic is 'Harrison' pond after a former Mayor of Vic.
Any photos of the Cates tugs?
You'll find a lot of useful stuff both here and from various modellers, we all muddle away!

Check with Burnaby Hobbies they can point you in the right direction. There is a club of sorts I believe that boats/floats at Central Park or Deer Lake in Burnaby...

The next time I go to Victoria, I will stop by Harrison pond. :)
