I've started back into the hobby after a year and a half away, by building a small sport aileron plane. I cannot remember if adding a little dehidral to the wing will help much with stability. Can someone please refresh my memory as to weather it will help significantly without eroding manuverability? If so, how much? Thanks.

Depends on the configuration of the plane, high wing, mid wing, low wing. Many high wing planes have plenty of stability without dihedral. For low wing planes a few degrees of dihedral often seems to improve both stability and manouverability.

Thanks for the response. Its a small (20"ws) shoulder wing. Simple box fuse with the wing on top. Maybe 5% or so would be good?
