company is Ikarus. Simulator is superb and will dramatically improve your flying skills.
Other Sims are good too... Reflex XTR gets very good reviews. The other contender is Realflight by Great Planes, but consensus seems to be that it isn't quite as good as the other two. For Helis many prefer Reflex.

Try a few before you buy and see for yourself.

AeroFly is amazing and is definitely more realistic than RealFlight.
If you do not have a sim but are shopping for one, AeroFly is the one to get.

company is Ikarus.

Actually, company is IPACS ... distributor is Ikarus!

Aero Fly Pro Deluxe is superb, the 'photo-realistic' flying sites are outstanding. You can download free add-on models and scenery from:

I know that my first card was the Geforce 5500 OC and I could not run Realflight G3 with that card. I had to upgrade to a card that is on the list of supported cards before I could get G3 to run on my PC.

I got mine at Best Buy.

I would say that if you find a card the supports G3 then it should easily support the other sims.

Fortunately in AFPD 'photo-realistic' scenery files require less graphic power than the CG ones. If you want to use it as a simulator rather than a game then you'll probably find you use the photo sceneries all the time. You can't use 'cockpit view' on them, but like I said that's game stuff really and not why most people buy a top r/c sim (IMO). My Dell has the standard 128 Mb ATI Radeon X300 card (pretty modest), but the frame rate is fine in full screen mode.

I am not sure if it will work or not. I do have to ask why you keep purchasing cards to run a simulator when you know that they are not on the list of supported cards. Find the list, print it out and bring it with you to the store and only get what is on the list.

I can see purchasing the wrong card by going off the package the suimulator comes in because the package does not list the specific cards that are supported. When you come and ask what cards will work for sure and someone give you a list of the actual supported cards and this list came right off the site of the company that diveloped the particular simulator yet you go out and buy something that is not on the list!!!! I do not get it. What is it???? Do you like to gamble with your money??? Do you liek to play games with the members of this site?????? I hate to say it but I am done trying to tell you that you need to get a card that is on the actual list. Do what you want from here on in because I personally give up on this.

heck I even posted my exact computer specs. You PC is slightly better then mine and the simulator worked on my machine.

To funny.....I agree....but when they keep updating cards it is hard to do so. I would love to just go to Best Buy and buy a card that is says it works for...I brought the list to the best buy guy and he even said it would work...now granted he might not know but he said any 9000 version would work. And 9050 would work, that is what he said....

You show him the list then tell him you want one of the cards that is listed on the list. Tell him you do not want the bottom of the heap card either. Get one that is somewere in the middle of the heap or one of the higher end cards. Just make sure it is on the list of cards that has been posted.

If he still insists that a card will work even though it is not listed on the list then ask him if they will take it in return at full price if it does not work.

Here is what he said," The 9550 version is a new version that is better than the 9500 and will work just fine and if it does not you can return it" I had him say that two times...they said they return hardware not software...and that is hardware....I am kinda concerned with going with radeon ati because some people said they always have problems with it......if this is true I can get one off of ebay pretty cheap....

Just because the card is the newest card available does not mean it will work properly. The simulator was tested with the cards listed and that is what it works with. Got to remember that this simulator was not created last month but was probly almost a year old before it actually hit the shelves. I still say go with what has been listed to be on the safe side.

Everyone is basically grasping at staws on this until Mr Bourke speaks up.

I've run aerofly on everything from a Gforce 2-440 to a ati 9800. I use a ATI all-in-one 9600 now with no problems. The 9550 is a little faster but at that level it doesn't matter IMO.
