How about letting everybody know which Alpha Models Warbird you are flying and what engine/controller/battery arrangement is working for you.
I just ordered the Alpha Models Corsair with the MP jet blue outrunner motor/Jesap18 controller/TP 1320,3 cell Lipo/9x6SF props.
What are you flying and how do you like your set up? Share with others so they can start enjoying these great little warbirds and learn from your experience.

Well, I've received and putting the equipment into the P-51 Marie version.
I'm using the red MP outrunner with Jeti Controller, and will use a 3s1p Tanic 1500 pack. Will take some pics and let you know how it goes. :)

Flying a Alfa P-47 <split fuse> purchased right here on the E-Zone. Brushed 300 motor <60W> behind a MPJet gearbox and APC 9x6SF prop.
That said I have been flying only brushless models now for the better part of a year. yet somehow the P-47 performs surprisingly well! Granted it's not a speed demon, but it will loop nicely from level flight, and roll quite nicely.
I can best compare it to is my brushless GWS Zero. With a Fegaio 22T and 5.33 gears it drives a APC 8x6E to the tune of 100+W. Yet with a RPM/MPH nearly double the Alfa it certainly does not fly twice as fast. Who would think to call the Thunderbolt "slippery"!
With both the FW-190 and the 'Meatball" on the shelf looks like the bolt will have company real soon.
Nice Planes these Alfas!

Well……
Flying Styro beat Alfa to the punch with the ME-110. That said I would LOVE to see a Hurricane or a Mig-3 from Alfa.
It will be hard for me to resist the Non Bubble P-51 coming out.

Got 2 flights on my Corsair, red MP outrunner, 1500 3s, CC25, 8x6E. Flies great, me and fighterpilot(above) fly them right outside my back gate.
I just finished up my Mig15, 2015/5400, 1500 3S, will try to maiden it today.
Thanks to ALL the guys who post here both good and bad results, I read over these forums at length before ordering anything. I made the mods to the Mig that everybody had been talking about with the wing mounting. I peeled ALL the paint off in the sockets ahead of time. Also, a lot of guys said their plane needed a lot of down trim and would take off heading skyward. I centered the wings in the sockets and then checked the incidence between the wing and stab bosses. The stab has about 2 degrees of negative incidence to the wing( built in up elevator), I fudged the leading edge of the stabs up a bit to get to 0-0......Lenny

Got to maiden the Mig this afternoon, it flies great. Hand launch is a breeze, and the stab mod worked great, no elevator trim needed. Got into the second flight before power started to dwindle. Krum got 2 on his Corsair and flew great. No wind at all on the lake levee this evening...Lenny

Yep, l454S is absolutely correct, these little models are more fun than I've had in a long time. I think the appeal is the simplicity of the little airplane and the convenience of the flying site (lake levee about a block from my and l454S home), not to mention how well these little Alpha Models fly. Looks like I'm going to have to order the F-86 so I can chase Lenny's Mig around the sky.
I got two flights in today and I'm still trying to perfect my hand launch. Second flight today, the airplane torqued over a little and I caught it about 2 ft. off the ground. I've got to do better with the hand launches.

L454S and I attended the giant scale Warbirds Over Louisiana event this past weekend. The airplanes that got the most attention were our little Corsairs that we flew before the beginning of the days events and after hours, just relaxing around the field in the evening. Hobby Lobby should give us a commission on all the Alpha warbirds sold to folks in Louisiana and Texas over this next week.. :D .
Here are a couple of pictures of mine.

I have the KI 84 and it's a great flying little warbird. I got carried away flying it about the 2nd time up and ended up hitting a dumpster with it, when I totally let it run out of engine power. The entire back of the fuselage broke in half and the wing hold down brace across the fuselage was broken. Replaced part of the firewall, glued the fuselage back together, and replaced the wing hold down brace across the bottom of the wing saddle and it's been flying beautifully ever since. I've got the Blue Jet Outrunner motor in all 3 of my Alfa warbirds (Corsair, Mustang, Nakijima) and flight times are two 9 minute flights per battery charge on 1320mah 3 cell lipo by Thunder Power. Full throttle is actually too fast to simulate fast scale flight speed. I usually fly at just over 1/2 throttle and can do any virticle maneuver that I chose at that throttle setting.
