Does anyone know anything about this new product from FMA? It claims:

"The SA-10 simulates receiver output with 1ms to 2ms pulses to a servo, and measures transmitter pulse width with 0.010ms precision. Test servos in models or on the bench. Eliminate unknowns that may be caused by transmitter or receiver"

I wonder how this differs from Horizon Hobbies 'HAN172 - Digital Servo & Receiver Current Meter' which claims:

"lets modelers check current flow between multiple linkages. It will monitor overall voltage between the battery and receiver, charge current between the charger and charge jack, or current draw when used between the receiver and servo. Modelers can even monitor discharge current between the charge jack and battery cycler."

If anyone knows or has a good theory on the differences of these 2 products please let me know.

Thank you, Houdini1 (new member 06/14/05) :)

I have 4 of them (FMA SA10)--they are very nice and especially suited to wing installations (very thin).

Pat, I think he's asking about their servo driver/tester device, not the PS-10/Cirrus 4.2 servos.....

Based on the descriptions you gave:

The FMA device lets you see and define the nature of the signal being sent to the servo, allowing you to test servos (and ESCs) and set them up without a radio transmitter.

The Horizon device is a current meter - lets you see how much power is being drawn by various bits in your radio system....
