I just aquired a 2nd Hitec eclipse-7 TX and was wondering if there was a way to transfer saved model profile from one TX to the other TX?
Thanks...
Dave

I had a look at the manual (http://www.hitecrcd.com/Support/Manuals/Radio/eclipse.pdf) and apparently the Eclipse 7 doesn't have the ability to transfer programming through a buddy-box cable like the JR XP8103 does. The end of the manual does have programming worksheets though, so you'll be able to print or photocopy some of those and use them to transfer the programming, which I guess you'll have to do, as Vintage1 says, "the long hard way".

It would be nice if there were a way to save off settings and re-install them later. 7 planes is plenty for the planes I have flying at one particular time, but there are more planes in the hangar that have to be overwritten in the radio to make room for the current fleet. There otta be a way to hack the eclipse mem, perhaps with a PIC and save to flash, or even to the hard drive on a laptop. Probably involve some soldering and unsoldering though.

Dunno about the Eclipse, but it's possible to double (or more) the memory in a Flash 4

Might be possible to do a similar mod if you can track down the memory chip.

It would be interesting to see how they display the model selections 8-14 on a display showing only 1-7.

Double or even triple if you like.
You can use the Flight Mode and Flight Condition switches as addational model memories( trim, dual rate, expo) as long as the basic servo directions and mixes such as elevons / V-Tail .etc are the same. I fly fly multi models on these switchs one mine. I am currenrtly flying 12 models with mine.
