Does the throttle move because you're not only moving the stick left/right
to swing the rudder but you're accidentally moving the stick forward/back
(throttle), or are you saying that with a known rudder-only input the
throttle also advances, like the 2 channels are coupled to each other (move
one and they both move)?

Rudder/Throttle
Sounds like you are accidently adding throttle stick when you move the
rudder - i.e. you are not just moving the stick left and right but a little
up and down aswell. Just takes practice. However, if you are seeing big
chnages in throttle then you have a mixing problem somewhere.
Drops like a stone
When you move your throttle stick all the way down, how much negative pitch
do you have. For a beginner you should have no more than the range 0deg
to -2deg. If you have -9deg or similar it will drop quickly.
Many books say you should have 0deg at the bottom but I would
recommend -1deg or -2deg because otherwise you can get into situations where
the heli is reluctant to descend.
Cheers,
Nigel
