Curtis Youngblood and Alan Szabo seem to be the pilots to beat this year.

A couple of pilots crashed today, which is to be expected due to the extremely difficult moves being performed at such low altitudes. When a mistake happens there is no time to make a correction. The crashes were unfortunate but they add drama and demonstrate the intensity of fierce competition.

Pilots were clearly pulling out all the stops today in an effort to make the final cut, but plenty of good-natured sportsmanship was also present. These pilots know and respect each other and enjoy having fun while competing.

I'm afraid I didn't catch that. The contest flights took up most of our time. In between those we spent time chatting with pilots and judges.
