Frank,
This will be my first year attending the XFC and I have visited the website but I just wanted to verify if there is an admission fee to get in to watch the action. Also I see that there is going to be some nice items raffled, do you know how much the raffle tickets will be? Thanks, looking forward to some great flying next weekend.
Regards,
Tim

Hi Tim,
Yes, there is an admission fee for the XFC. It is $5.00/person per day. Children under 12 are free. You can't really beat it for a whole day's worth of entertainment. It's $10.00 to go to a movie now, and that's for an hour and a half! :-)
There are some very nice raffle prizes being given this year, including a 14MZ, Great Planes Chapman 580 ARF, Desert Aircraft DA-150, and many other really nice items.
You'll be able to buy raffle tickets and place them into the appropriate boxes next to the items, so that you can concentrate on only the ones that you're interested in.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy the show. There will be concessions on site, and unfortunately there won't be sun shelters allowed in the viewing area due to obstructing the view of other spectators.
We look forward to seeing yourself and everybody at the XFC, and plan on having a great time.

Frank,
What time will the flights begin on Sundy? I looked on the XFC site but all it said is that there would be noon time demos.
Thanks,
Robert

SUNSCREEN IS A MUST!
Especially if you're of fair complexion. The party I was with learned this the hard way. Last year it was cool, windy, and rainy in the morning (Sat) and got much better in the afternoon. Too bad we didn't see that coming.
I can't wait to head to Waco Field again for my second time around!

Robert...
The competition should start at 9:00am on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday's rounds starting around 10:00am. Should be a heck of a show, with lots of new talent that is wanting to make a name for themselves!

Is there a vendor area at this event? Looking for a Fathers Day gift.
Plasticman.
