I have a 1/7 scale L-25 Klemm by Krick, does anyone have any info on going to brushless? It has a fairly long wingspan, kinda like a glider, and I'm not trying to make it a barn-burner. All suggestions are appreciated.

What are the specs? Weight (without current engine and fuel tank), wingspan and wing area, fuse length and what kind of flying do you want to do with it. Also any pics would be helpful as to figuring out what kind of set-up would fit best.

I think this was intended for a glow .25 or so, so something in the 300 watt range?.. so 3s lipos or 10 cell nimh at 30 amps.

Here are the stats:

Wing Span 73 3/16"
Length 42 5/32"
Wing Area 632 sq. in.
Tailplane Area 100 sq. in.
Gross Weight 4 1/2 lb.
Wing Loading 16.4 oz./sq. ft.
Power 0.35 H.P.

Just like everyone else, I like a little reserve power on my aircraft. I'm thinking AXI xx/xx/xx? with a cc-45 on a 15C or 20C Kokam.
Oh and here is a pic of a real Klemm L-25.

Any help is appreciated. :D

Thanks for the info Herm.

That is the route I will go.

I'll post pics and notes as the build goes along. This is my winter project, and I am not in a great hurry as I do a lot of flying in the winter. :D

Krick has an electric version, very light weight, intended for a speed 600 with 2.5:1 gearbox.
I have this kit for a next building sesion ;) . I am going to use the Axi 2820/10.

I used to have one of those, back in 1987. I use an Astro 25 geared on 14 cells and it flew great.

Would you mind to tell where to buy this Klemm and how much for it?
I always want to have one of these Klemmish look planes, but just locate one bigger size in Shredair of US , but trouble is they don't take CC now,....
