I am working on a new design based on a non-existant Playstation 2 (Ace Combat 04 & 05) plane. it has unconventional wings...

I have a few questions...

1. How do I go about determining MAC for the main wings?
2. I want to have fully articulated canards and also the rear tail surfaces (like the butterfly "V" on a YF-23... is there a rule of thumb for picking the pivot points based on the MAC?

thanks in advance for any help ;-)

The pivot points for all-flying surfaces shouldn't be any further aft than 25% m.a.c., which can be determined for each surface using:
