Thought these might be of interest to people. Here are some sources of code and hardware design that are free for people to use.

Code and paper on making a UAV with a SBX controller. This gentleman received 3rd place in the controller competition.

A PIC processor using PicBasic code for GPS UAV flight.
http://rcpilot.sourceforge.net/modules/rcap/

pcb board for above is available here: http://www.scalerobotics.com/store

Amtel processor controlled UAV
http://www.nongnu.org/paparazzi/index.html

And their thermopile schematic http://www.uavs.net

haven't read too far into this yet, but looks interesting. Normal 4 thermopiles are used for tilt sensing, but also has a 10 x 10 thermopile array $ensor. Nice looking pusher plane though!

Horizon sensing paper

Steve's UAV with code for alt, speed, etc

and http://www.uavs.net

Here is a thermopile based, 2 axis sensor based on the Paparazzi sensor. You can buy this from http://www.scalerobotics.com/store
