It looks like mike and I are the only two in the world building giant scale electrics....or is there so little interest in such.
I am currently building a Dynaflite Chipmunk. Am using an Actro brushless on 32 CP2400 cells. There...I've opend the door, anyone else out there?

Not just Giant Scale electrics Keith, as far as I am aware, this group is meant to cover glow and petrol as well. There must be some more out there.

Hi guys, well you can add me to the list of giant scale nuts :D While I'm just getting into the E-Power thing most of my fleet is 72" up to 144" span birds. Nothing like a giant to brighten my day !!!

Also nothing like a Giant to give me the jitters during a first flight :p . My first flight of my Gee Bee Y was almost a little too much excitement for me, and soon I'll be flying a Corsair. They require a huge investment in time and money but nothing attracts more attention at the field than a gorgeous Giant.

Just flew for first time 1\4 scale Deacathalon. 16 lbs 32 cells Aveox 1415-3y with 4-1 gearbox. Kontronic controller.
Flys trainer like and lands very slow.
It could be lighter but was built and glow power 12 yrs ago and after to much coffe one morning I did the conversion.
Need to come up with better motor as the 1415-3y gets very hot.
Will fly at less than half stick.
Would like to hear more about 32 cell motors in use.

Hi Guys,
I have a scratch built J2 (not J3) Cub. 8 foot span with an Astro 60 direct. It does well on 24 to 28 cells. (It is still light enough to thermal :) )
Incase you have not been there, this link has some nice big birds.

Well Keith,
You're not alone. I slapped an Actro 40-4 with a 9s3p lipo onto the Hangar 9 Ultra Stick Lite. I practically soiled myself. Vertical Takoff without a strain. I can't believe how fast it is. I'm terrified of trying full throttle.

Hi there Gee Bee Jim,
I have one of these kits under the bench and on the shortlist. What gasser is attached to that other side of the carb poking out of your cowling?

Alan, it's a Zenoah G-26, and it's the perfect match !
Also, I didn't use cap strips on the wing, I sheeted both sides. It makes for a much better wing with just a little bit more effort.
It also sports RoboStruts for a beautiful handling aircraft.
You are a very lucky person to own that kit, as DynaFlite has now discontinued them.
