Hey all,
I was wondering how effective it would be to place a waterjet system into a
boat an use it for towing? It would seem to be similar to a prop in a kort
nozzle. What are your thoughts? Thanks

In principle, it will work, but not very effectivly.
At low speeds the diameter of the propeller is important,
a large propeller at low speed can produce thrust much more effectivly
than a small propeller running at higher speed, and the
"propeller" in a waterjet is allways rather small.
Maybe someone knows whether a diffusor or a mixer behind the jet
improves the situation.
There should be some experience from side thrusters in big ships, but
they seem to get larger and larger in diameter over time.
