Guys here are 4 photos of the newest twin boom pusher from AUAV.
The 4 photo are just before I test flew it today, It flew it's self off the ground all that I had to do was keep it straight down the runway.
It needed about 4 or 5 clicks of down trim and no aileron or rudder trim.
It has a Enya 46, 2 stroke with a reverse crank shaft so it will run CCW this way I have a full selection of props to chose from.
I designed it to fit in my Chev Astro van with having to disassemble it, in the last photo you can see that it just fits.
I will try and get some video of it in the air this weekend and post either on my web site on on this site.

Nice looking plane Dave. What are you doing to keep the oil bath from the engine out of the elevator servo? :)

PJ,
I can't attest to what Dave is using, but typical RC servo's come in cases that are fairly well sealed. Higher end ones like those used by the guys in the UAV community even have moisture proof seals. Short of dunking them in water and keeping them there, they stay dry inside. In fact, most aircraft have engines in front and slobber down the whole fuselage. Dave's set up provides quite a minimum of exposure to synthetic and castor lubricant properties. Even entry level standard type servos hold up real well to a little residue. Cleaning if they get too goobered up can be effected by just hitting them with a two second shot of a standard electronic cleaner/degreaser. :)

One of the things that I really like about my pushers is that there is very little or no oil from the engine deposited on the air frame.
With my twin boom designs it goes down below the booms and H-stab and the V-stabs.
On the single boom designs the oil goes over the top of the H-stab and the V-stab.
There is a small bit that drips out of the carburetor from choking the engine for starting.
The photos show how I rout the crank case vent on 4 strokes.

Here's the long awaited video of AUAV's newest twin boom pusher flying.
It now has a Satio 82 on it

Ok how do attach a video?

I suspect that most videos would exceed the size limit of attached files.
One would have to host them somewhere (like an FTP account)... and post the link instead.

Why not post it in the Gallary? Put it under gas powered aircraft or something.

Dave,
Very nice clip. I can't wait to see some of the video from the plane. I was at the AUVSI show last week in Baltimore. I hope to see you there some day with your own line of UAV
's. Any thoughts of building a fibreglass version?

We have a project in the works for a new all composite single boom pusher with a 12 ft wingspan .
