I have the latest Aerofly Professional Simulator.
I want to us my Hitec Optic 6 Tx with this Simulator.
Does the Tx need to have the battery installed and fully charged to use it with the Simulator ?
Thanks,
PJM

Most of the interface cables still require that the Tx battery pack is installed & charged. Some transmitters must be turned ON and crystal removed for the cable to work as well. Check your specific model's manual under the "buddy cable" or "training plug" for more details.

Just don't plug your tx charger in whilst you have the interface connected to your TX and PC

As Eric stated, you will still need the TX battery installed, but by removing the Xtal or fm module you will not actuially be transmitting and thus the battery will not be drained as much.

My fully-charged Futaba 9C Super Tx has lasted 5 hours on Reflex so far, and still going. That's with the RF module removed.

Nine hours on one charge, and counting...
