Smaller ailerons for F-18? Will it work?

I want more control stick movement but more importantly, less sensitivity from my plane when banking. I am using the basic brushed setup...GWS 350, 8X6 prop. Has anyone modified thier bird for this? I can't adjust the throws as my transmitter is standard.

No this would not be the way you should go about this. All you need to do is set the control linkage on the aileron farther out on the horn and the control linkage on the servo closer to the servo. This will give you less throw which makes the plane easier to fly.
