Looking to purchase a thermal ship sometime soon and I was looking at the Art Hobby Ibis 3M so was wondering if anyone has flown it and what you thought about its abilities and the quality of the kit.

They also have a 3M ship called Big Sky but no information about it on their website, would be nice if they could get some info up.

I've been lusting after the Ibis as well, but I am a huge Art Hobby fan.

IIRC, the Big Sky is a derivative of other AH designs. Give Andre at Art Hobby a call (his number is listed on the website) and he will presumably answer any and all questions.

Does anyone know if this ship can take a winch launch? Haven't had time to call Art Hobby to ask.

My Thermic can take some fairly stout winch launches, so presumably the bigger, stronger and faster Ibis can.

If you get an Ibis or a Serenity, PLEASE OH PLEASE give us a full report.

From what I know the IBIS is only very very new on Andre's site, so unless somebody bought one from him asap when Andre had them ready for sale, info ... let alone anyone flown one yet, is still be very mimimal. Just a thought :p
