Are you looking to stabilize a two axes camera pod, or the whole Helicopter?

Or check out RotoMotion (http://rotomotion.com/index.htm), they've got pretty much all you'd need for a heli.

Well when you said "best Money can buy", despite the envy, we figured we would pass along the two links above.

i think i am not knowledged enough here...

now is it possible to fly the helicopter manually...not using automated flying systems, but use electronics to help stability?

are we talking about the same thing?

I don't know about the Rotomotion system. I'm also not a Helicopter guy. I know about the Carvec unit because a buddy of mine fly's helicopters and was telling me about that one. The Carvec unit looks like it completely stabilizes the Helicopter to keep it still and not moving. However, if you put commands into it, your commands over ride the system and you go fly. When you let go of the sticks, it stabilzes right there.

The Rotomotion may have the same capability but you need the skilled Helo guys to jump in on this. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
