hi!
i am planning to buy this ship and convert this to rc. i have read lots of posts regarding static conversion and still leaves somes questions on my mind.
1. does the kit includes working props? and motors?
2. i don't want to buy any additional rc stuff. i already have a 540size motor, a tamiya esc 7.2 volts. now can i use this 540?
3. is this ship big enough to carry the 7.2 battery pack, and all the electronics? because as what i have read, most use small electronics which i can't afford to buy right now.
i may have more questions, im still thinking right now.
thank you.

Have a look at PatMat's Tamiya 1/350 Musashi. It is essentiallythe same kit.

I would be a little wary of dropping a 540 into such a small model, but perhaps with the proper gear reduction it might handle alright.
Every thing else should fit.

i have seen and read it. but pat used a small esc, while i will be using a big one (big size that is). its a tamiya receiver/esc in one. it's like 3"x 3" in size which i am worried of. also can these plastic withstand heat? because in my rc car, the battery, motor and esc heats up a lot.
i don't know if i can find s 280 size motor here. can i use small motors? like the ones used in tamiya mini-cars? the flat ones. although my problem with using them will be the esc.

Where is "here"? 280 motors can be found ANYWHERE, very inexpensive, and it will fit right into the plastic clip provided with the Yamato kit. It's all the power you need, my Musashi goes quite quickly. Yes, the kit has all the gears, shafts, props. And since the motor draws so little current, nothing gets hot.

thanks pat. well i'll try to find one here. here is manila :-) hard to find something not really used in industrial machines.
but i guess youre very right that smaller motor is way to go.
one more question, is this kit hard to assemble? pat did you detail yours? or just enough for it to look good? i'm not a very experience modeler.
now, hope i can buy that kit. :-)

well i've decided to convert my pt-15 into rc first, before making a future battleship.
pat, what prop/s did you use in the yamato? is it the scale props? or the one supplied for rc? (or did it contain diff sets of props?)
because in my tamiya pt-15, there are 3 props for display (scale) and a bigger prop for rc, which i accidentally lost. all i have are 2small props and 1 center prop, a bit bigger than the 2, which are intended for display. can thiese be used?
