Where to buy STV5730 - Video Superimposing IC?

The STV5730 is a video superimposing IC. I want to superimpose some data from my Slip-Skid project to be sent back down in a video link.

I've been looking for this IC for a number of months (another project that never happened), but can't find it in single pieces.

They look like a wholesaler. I couldn't find a way to get one piece.

Know where I can get one piece in the retail market?

These went EOL (for good this time) back in December, everybody was on lifetime buy after they raised the price to over $6 each in quantity. They are a bugger to find in small quantities.

You might try a SimmStick DT108 which has the STV5730A on it. http://www.hobbyengineering.com/SectionSS.html

Or a Bob-3 module from Decade Engineering. I think these use a Mitsubishi OSD.

Or if you don't need the self video generation capabilities of an OSD chip, hook up with RC-CAM on his PIC based text/marker insertion. I'm not sure if he would be able to share the source code or not, but maybe you can interest him in making some code that could receive via RS232 and then display over video.
