Could there be some mechanisim where members have a way of inviting modeller friends to join RCgroups, just click on a quick link ,enter the persons email address you are inviting to join and a email generated that welcomes them as a recomended new prospective member ,with instructions on how to join and use RCgroups ,would automatically be sent to them.

This is a good idea - I had not seen it before. Many web sites allow you to "send this to a friend", a signup here would be a good idea. Mike?

Personaly.
I do not like the idea, I for one have enough unsolicited mail in my Box every day as it is. Something like that would be too easy to abuse.
If you want to invite someone to RC-Groups,, Just do it on your own, Invite them with your Email account manualy. or better yet in person.
I have made up a deck of bussnies cards with the RC-Groups logo and URL on them that I give to anyone I feel might want to come here. So far it has worked pretty good.

Anyone interested in getting some cards of there own, Just PM me ( with your E-mail ), and I will Email you the master sheet ( 12 cards per page ) with your nick on them. Just print cut and hand out. ( hard card stock is best to print them on, Bussness card stock is not required and will not fit the master sheet unless it is altered to do so)
(Edit)
The blank Master may be downloaded Here (http://kenohki.rchomepage.com/rcblncrd.jpg) . For those who wish to just hand write in there Nick, Or can load it up in a photo program and insert ther own nick. Remember, you will have to rotate the picture 90 CC in order to print it on paper as designed. I will still offer to make the cards for those who need it or want it done for them. it only takes a minute or so to slap in a new name. Please remember to include your E-Mail addy in the PM request.

We already have "email this page" (analog of "send to friend") in each thread view, under "thread tools" menu.
Ken-Ohki: great idea! As to original idea, I don't like it either. You can always mail a link to registration page to your friend, it contains all necessary info as to how to register, etc.
