Hi all,
I have been into R/C trucks for a couple years, and planes for about a year (All electric). Since I already have a 3Ch FM radio, a bunch of 6 cell Sub C packs, a Novak SS brushless and an EVX ESC, what would be your recommendation of a first boat? Basically, I'd like some sort of racing boat that could use the above equipment, be somewhat docile (if I need that after succesfully flying planes?), and hopefully a decent performer. I don't mind putting money into the hull or other various parts, but I would like to minimize cost on my first boat to see if I'd stick with it. I guess some sort of kit without electronics would be good... any suggestions? I don't know why, but it seems like finding beginner info on electric R/C boating is hard to come by. I had an interest about a year ago and then they drained the local body of water to do maintenance on the dam :(. But it should start filling up again soon! Thanks!

I have used Fine Design R/C. They only stock electrics and have alot of competition models. They also have some that can be set-up with a docile set-up with the option of upgrading.www.finedesignrc.com Their site is worth checking out!

For stability, I would recommend a Deep V or Off shore Catamaran hull.
They are good for just messing around, or jumping boat or jet ski wakes.
