Aerospace composites????

Hi, did anybody order from these guys? (http://www.acp-composites.com)
I placed an order with them 16 days ago.
And when they sent me the confirmation asking to let them know if there were any discrepancies, the shipping address was wrong so I wrote to them right away asking to confirm that they corrected it. No answer.
I sent another e-mail few days later asking about it and they said that the order was shipped and the gave me a tracking #.
I tried to track it , but the number was wrong (missing digit apparently), so i sent since then 2 or 3 emails without any reply.
The CC is charged, since april 6th.
I was just wondering if you have any experience with them, they seem like a big company to bother for $83.
So far, no CF and no idea if I will ever get it.
I just don't understand why is too hard to let know you customer what is going on, I think is more annoying keep receiving emails from someone than just write one saying "yes, we took care of whatever the problem was"

Have purchased from them twice. Everything went without a hitch, so, never had to write them. Thus, I don't know if they are usually good responders or not.

They have an 800 number - maybe call them . . . .

I guess no news is good news. It just drives me crazy not knowing what's going on.
Especially when you start with a wrong address.
Everything takes a long time when you try to do things from south here, so it doesn't help when things don't go smooth. I hope I don't have to place the order again!.

I've bought from them several times. The first time I had the same problem, wrong shipping address. Please call them. Talk to Barbara Spar and she'll straighten it out for you. Carbon fiber is really amazing stuff... They're really good people to work with.

They really do not care.

I had a similar experience and they did not seem concerned at all. Really pissed me off because I called and they promised that they would expedite shipment. 10 Business days to pack 3 items then 2-3 days shipping. Total time was like 18 days.

I could have shipped a brick to India in that time.

Wow. Surprising to hear negative comments about them. I've had nothing but good experiences with both ACP and CST. There was one point that I was in a bind and needed something quick that was holding up a build, and ACP made sure to get it out that same day.

If you believe you're having a problem though, I would recommend calling them. They have always been very pleasant on the phone.

The best way to get an answer is to call, Does the 800 # work from Costa Rica? or you can send them another email with the link to this thread, I am sure they'll get back to you.

I buy from CST by phone, it feels like I am back in the 80's, I don't use their website, the sites for both CST and Aerospace composites are truly inferior.

Yeah, their sites are fairly crude, and while I've never had any problems ordering from either, I know from secondhand experience that a phonecall to both places is the way to go. They are still small retailers, and small web-orders are probably only a small fraction of what they do...

Hey everybody!!!
I got the stuff.
I tried to call them but it was saturday afternoon, and then I was out in the jungle for three days, when I came back (today) the FG was waiting for me in civilization.
So, apparently they had already taken care of it, they just couldn't bother to let me know.
Anyway, I'm happy and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Just wanted to be fair, and let you know. I feel bad after complaining about something and then everything was ok. It's not nice to put that element of doubt in other people
that might use ACP. Sh*t happens sometimes!
