Can someone tell what would it be the minimum torque would I need on my servos for the Aquila Grande (120") and the Aquila XL (150")?
Thanks, Fernando

I think multiplex has a url with a servo load calculator.
Thinking of going with something smaller than standard servos?

I can use standard for these two planes but I'm buying the whole thing new, so may be I can get some that have the same torque and they are a bit smaller just in case in the future I decide to build something with a bit more space compromise.
Anyway I was just wondering what kind of loads these planes would generate.
I'm back after just a brush of r/c 20+ years ago and now I'm like Johnny Five (from the movie Short Circuit) INPUT! INPUT! MORE INPUT!
Is like I want to catch up with all the changes.
I'll search for that ULR
Thanks e-sailpilot,
Fernando

Even though calcs are just that: "Calculations", it's a start. Real world recommendations are always the way to go.

Fernando, I used Hitec HS-225MG mini servos on my Aquila XL rudder & elevator, one HS-81 on each spoiler.. The 225s have 54 in. ounces of torque on 4.8 volts. They were plenty of torque for it, and it is still flying strong after four years and lots of hours, even with the new owner. I fly 120" planes on Hitec HS-85 size servos with no problem. Bill G.
