The father of a kid I help is asking me if there's any book or publication around that will help him understand the terminology and get an all around understanding of r/c powered flight so he can help his son make the best decisions. I have all the answers but I can't spend the time. It's Dad needs info.

The kid has been building free flight models for the past few years and now wants to spend some saved money and get into r/c. He wants to learn to fly. LOL[!] he doesn't want to build his first r/c trainer and he's set on an ARF or RTF. I do fly powered planes and can instruct but that task will have to go to someone that can spend time with him. There are too many other kids in our group that also need my time.

Does AirAge or anyone have a one time publication out there?
Anything to be found in the LHS?
Books?

Thanks!
Dennis

Scott Stoops, one of our members here on RC Groups, has just published an excellent book, The Pilot's Guide to Mastering Radio Controlled Flight. It has received endorsements from some of the top people in the field. It would be perfect for what you're looking for. You can order it from Scott's website here:
