amazing, amazing !
great videos, I downloaded about 15 of them - truely amazing.
I know my way around e-flight, so the electric equipment is familiar to me - esc, batteries, motors...
in order to achieve "respectable" performance (speed that is), are there any ready to run models in which I can use my eqipment, or like in most e-planes you have to upgrade most everything ?
I fly mostly 600 sized planes, e-sailplanes, flying boat... I have 6,7,8 cells packs (2000RC, 1700CP...). any recommandations ?
I think I know the answer, but how do all the kyosho/graupner ready to run e-boats perform ?
one last question, is a pistol Tx a must or can I use my airplane Tx ?
thanks, Oded.

IMO only
the DPI American dream may be a good place to start. 6-8 cells the right size motors and it is a uick boat which can be taken form the stock set up to a very fast boat indeed - last year in preparation for the November straight lines in Ca Larry Kirby was testing his on 12 cells and running over 60mph (Hacker motor)
In terms of monos there are several. I could recommend - something about 22" 6" or so beam is a good start - you are right dont go for rtr's
Airage has some easy to make plans for monos hydros and riggers. The long suit of these boats is their economical setups and high speeds
feel free to email me if you would like
