t-maxx versus savage 25

I have owned both, but of course you can't make generalisations from the
experiences of one owner, however my experiences are that for reliability
they are both similar, maybe a tiny leaning toward the Maxx. I believe the
Sav is stronger, but there is certainly nothing wrong with the Maxx in this
regard.

The Maxx is tons faster in every performance metric with the possible
exception of where the terrain is particularly rugged.

The Maxx is much easier to work on, and getting to things is quicker and
easier on the Maxx.

You can't go wrong with either, but if I were buying again, I would get a
MAxx.

i saw some where that the t-maxx is capable of around 50+mph (sorry i dont
know the coversion to kph)and the savage is around 35mph
so to get better performace for the rugged turrain would it be possible to
lowwer the gear ratios a bit,,thus making it a bit faster on the
excelleration as well??

It is possible, but doesn't actually achieve a great deal.

Acceleration, especially on the rough, is limited by the traction
available, so tyres and suspension setup is just as critical.

If you can't get the power down, it won't matter what gearing you run.

Hi,

I have owned all three the E-Maxx, the T-Maxx and the Savage. When I opened
my shop last year I soon switched completely to the Savage. From the amount
of cars and trucks I now get to work on the Savage is a far better option.
