that you get the electric car out for the first time since before winter
(last week) and do a half of a lap in the backyard and smack a tree and
break the front shock tower and a arm?..........
that you finally get to run the t-maxx, (like today) and you lose the front
cvd diff pin after 5 mins.?....
that when (like today...) you lose connection at the cheap 4 AA battery
holder in your buggy,..
that it runs faster than it has ever run?..
straight across a dirt field ,up and over a dirt hill where a pond is on the
other side......
thank goodness for a small wire mesh fence or I would have been
swimming.....
sad thing is I had my new rx pack with me and forgot to put it in to avoid
just this thing!....
yeah.. it's rc season again!.......

Yes I have a failsafe ...but if you lose power at the rx battery pack a
failsafe will not work..the battery pack powers the failsafe. Most failsafes
are only good for low power on the rxpack or low power or signal loss from
the tx.
The 4 "AA" trays flex on the corners and lose contact with the battery...it
was even taped up with zip ties on it, however bumping around broke one of
the zip ties and a corner "flexed" and lost contact. This has happened to
me with more than one of these type trays..hence I am replacing all my
models that have AA trays with 5cell rx packs.

I also spent quite awhile crawling in the grass Sat. looking for my friends
helicopter parts....
Good thing alot of the fun of the RC hobby is repairing, tinkering, and
building them...otherwise sometimes it might not be any fun!

I think things like this happen so we can upgrade with more expensive parts!

Yep, it is R/C Season again and all the models that behaved perfectly well
before being put away for winter are coming out of their winter sleep.....
and not liking it one bit...!!!, Very common problem with most models.
Always best to check them out thoroughly before going out with them to get
rid of the gremlins that have been hibernating in them !!!.....It's still
early season so plenty time to get them up and running properly.
Apart from that...Thank God winter is over....looking forwards to getting in
a few flights myself this year as well as trying out some driving the new
Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R that I have just about completed.

I don't feel to bad. I only busted a $6 servo saver on my Stampede.
30+mph into another Stampede.
I am collecting so many spare parts in my toolbox its a joke. I try to
have spares in case anything goes wrong. OF course I always break the
one thing I don't have 2 of.

DAMN! I must have been the only lucky S.O.B. last weekend. Got out the
beastie and it started, ran, and I didn't break anything.
<note to self - push it a bit harder next time>

why is it? ...continued...
....the next week.. an internal casting flaw in your .21 T-Maxx motor block
drops a small piece of pot metal right into the connecting rod channel to
lock up your motor?.....
....when you think your just ready to play..you just realize your last week
runaway buggy stripped the servo gears after it dissappeared over the
hill?.........
you gotta love it, eh?
